Community Song Circles
You’re warmly invited to join us for community singing circles in my home in Eugene. These gatherings are casual, welcoming spaces to sing together, connect, and share music in an intimate circle.
All voices belong here. No experience is needed.
Schedule Update
I’ve settled on trying Saturday afternoons as our new regular singing time.
I plan to host singing most Saturdays from 1–3pm beginning March 14, and hope to continue this rhythm throughout the spring with a few exceptions.
*No circle on March 21*, as Karly Loveling will be hosting a large community singing event that day.
About the Circles
Since June 2024, I’ve been hosting these casual drop-in song circles in Eugene almost every week. They’ve become a joyful gathering place for voices of all kinds: seasoned singers, hesitant beginners, children, parents, elders, and friends.
We gather in my home to share songs to help us to connect with and deepen into the currents of life moving through us. We sing for joy and for grief and for all the love in between. I choose and lead many of the songs, but there is also space for others who may want to offer songs, poems, or simple reflections if and when it feels right.
The space is relaxed, welcoming, and intimate. It’s a place to drop in, connect, experiment, and let music move through us together.
Bring your voice, and feel free to bring an instrument, drum, or shaker if you like. Come just as you are.
What to Expect
We usually begin with a simple check-in, where each person is invited to share their name, pronouns, and a bit about how they are arriving that day. These check-ins help us get to know one another and build connection as a community, though participation is always optional.
Just listening is welcome, and participation can be gentle.
Late arrivals and early departures are completely okay. Please take care of yourself and do what you need.
Suggested donation: $10–20
Children
This gathering is primarily adult-centered. Children are welcome to join quietly in the circle or enjoy a separate space with toys and art supplies. My own children are sometimes in the space, and sometimes not.
No babysitter is currently scheduled, but if childcare would help you attend, feel free to reach out. If there is enough interest, we may be able to arrange something.
Occasional Special Circles
From time to time I also host additional circles outside of our ongoing regularly scheduled circles, usually with a particular theme. These gatherings may include extended sharing time or other elements such as tea, cacao, or simple ritual.
These special circles will be announced here when scheduled, or through my mailing list.
After the Circle
Please plan to care for yourself gently afterward. I value open communication, and am always open to receiving feedback. I welcome your reflections about what worked for you, what touched you, and what could help improve your experience in the future.
