Kids’ Choir Participation Guide

Our choir is a space for children to grow their voices in community — playful, connected, and rooted in joy. We learn folk songs that carry stories of belonging, nature, and kindness, helping kids discover confidence and harmony through shared song. While this choir is designed primarily for kids, parents and families play a meaningful role in supporting a healthy, positive singing experience for everyone.

How Parents Can Support Their Singer

– Do your best to help your child arrive on time, with a water bottle and a settled heart.
– Encourage them to listen, participate, and have fun rather than striving for perfection.
– Celebrate effort and curiosity — mistakes are simply part of learning.
– Sing together at home when you can; little bits of joyful practice help the songs take root.
– If your child feels nervous or shy, remind them their voice is always welcome, exactly as it is.

Participation & Attendance

Each week offers two rehearsal options exploring the same songs and themes. Families may attend either (or both), depending on what fits best that week. If your child needs to miss a rehearsal, that’s okay — the two-session/week format supports steady participation over time.

Drop-off & Pick-up

Rehearsals are drop-off friendly for most ages. For younger singers who need extra support, a parent or guardian is welcome to stay nearby during rehearsal as needed.

Community Values

Our choir is secular, inclusive, and welcoming to all families. We emphasize connection over competition, joy over perfection, and the belief that every child’s voice matters. All are welcome in our circle.
